How to open an account of ASB Bank

I am writing about how to open an account of ASB Bank in New Zealand

I’ve opened account of ASB Bank in March 2018

Why I’ve chosen ASB Bank?

There are several bank in New Zealand.
Such as KIWI Bank,ANZ,BNZ,ASB and so on.

I looked for ‘Which bank is best?’
But I couldn’t find out it.

Why I’ve chosen ASB Bank?
Because my property company is using ASB Bank.
It’s simple reason.

And I thought that it’s easy to open bank account than other bank.

Because it is not nessesally booking for open account.

Every bank need accommodation certificate.

You have to get invoice from public fee(e.g. water or power and son on)

But ASB Bank provide you letter which is similar accommodation certificate.
If you talk ASB Bank ‘ I don’t have an invoice,ASB Bank will send letter.

The letter will come about 1 week.

You can bring the letter to ASB bank, then you can open an account of ASB Bank

You have to bring these documents

・passport
・VISA
・If you are student,you bring school enter permition document.
・letter from ASB bank or public invoice(e.g. water , power etc.)
・mobile phone (NZ SIM is best)

It’s better to prepare things for smooth open an account

・password　× 2
– master password(letter and number)
（You use open an account but you usually don’t use this password)
– password for net banking(letter and number)
・user id for net banking(letter and number)
・PIN for EFTOPS card(4 numbers)

I use user id 6 letters and 3 numbers.
password is 6 letters and 2 numbers.

About mobile phone is used for open internet bank.
You have to receive SMS from internet banking system.

You can use any country mobile phone( I could receive SMS with Japanese mobile phone)
But if you want to use app, you must need mobile phone with New Zealand SIM)

Internet bank system app of ASB didn’t accept my Japanese phone.

Now I always use internet bank with laptop PC.

And if you want to VISA Debit card, you can get it.
But it’s not free.
$5 each 6 monthes.
